The tributaries that feed the Chesapeake are also the feeding grounds for many wintering ducks and geese which find refuge in the rivers and along the banks of the Bay. While geese are plentiful and early season bag limits are very generous, you will also find puddle ducks feeding throughout the many marshes.

We primarily hunt puddlers from marsh blinds and boat blinds. Early season will find us chasing woodies and teal deep in the marsh or guts feeding the rivers. Mid and late season will produce mixed bags of Mallards, Black Ducks, Widgeon, Pintail, along with Teal and some Scaup. Late Season is when the divers arrive and we add to the mix Bufflehead, Scaup, Shovelers and the much sought after Canvasback.

The big water will be producing nice bags of sea ducks including Old Squaw and all three flavors of Scoter. The Sea Duck hunting is fast and furious and is sure to test even the most proficient marksman's skills.
